#1 Crow Castle / Japan Okayama Castle

In our first featured post today @shibasaki takes us to the Crow Castle at Okayama in Japan. Okayama is about 3.5 hours away from Tokyo by bullet train, you could catch a plane, but with all the transfers to the airport etc it would take about the same amount of time. The Crow Castle is so called as it is black. Apparently in Japan you have black castles and white castles. The difference being when they were built and the materials used during that period. The demaracation era being at the turn of the 16th to 17th century. The original Crow Castle was built in 1597, but was bombed down during the WW2 and rebuilt in 1964. Luckily they kept close to the original colour.

#2 Story of a Volunteer in Yokohama, Japan

@bikeitjohn started his digital nomad journey in Japan. His post starts off with his first impression of Japan. People were very polite, everything was clean and he shares his first encounter of the famous Japanese automatic toilet with us! He goes on to spend some time at Yokohama where helped out at a charity organisation, meets a YouTuber who taught him how to do YouTube and thus starts his digital nomad life biking around the world.

#3 Hutan Simpan Bukit Nanas @ Kuala Lumpur 吉隆坡咖啡山

@cherryng takes us to a natural forest hidden right in the middle of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. It's called Hutan Simpan Bukit Nanas and is 9.7ha large. The key attraction of the forest is the 200m hanging bridge which can be a bit daunting if you don't like heights. Luckily she was ok so could share some photos with us. Also by the entrance are many long tail monkeys roaming around, perfect for more photo oppportunities.
