Good morning travelers, today on the blog we host Giulia, Genoese expert in London, city where he has lived and worked for almost a year and a half. Today he tells you about what to see in Croatia between sea, lakes and the dominant blue greenery.

What to see in Croatia between sea, lakes and dominant blue greenery

Croatia is the country that, like Italy, offers a variety of Tourism between seas and mountains and that satisfies every kind of person. Ready to explore it. follow me:
Starting from the sea I recommend two very beautiful islands: Brac and Hvar.

What to visit in Croatia: Island of Brac

Brac is a fairly large island in front of Split, accessible by ferry and has become very touristy thanks to the beach Zlatni Rat, in the town of Bol in the south of the island. Zlatni Rat has been defined as the most beautiful beach in the Adriatic and is really a jewel; its shape changes according to the wind and sea that shape it. The beach is free with equipped areas and water sports including windusrfing and parasailing. Water is a fairy tale: crystalline and blue.

Bol has many good restaurants for eating fish (and not only) and places to drink a drink at sunset or after dinner. Tip: Konoba Dalmatino for fish, Pizzeria Mickey Mouse for pizza and Mediterranean cuisine, Varadero for cocktails before or after dinner. If you've stayed watching the sunset from Zlatni Rat beach, I recommend the cockatil bar Auro with big smurfs and sofas to sit comfortably. For relaxing walks to the alsanctuary of Bol from where you can enjoy a beautiful sunset and a little peace.

What to visit in Croatia: Island of Hvar

With the catamaran you can reach the island of Hvar and especially Hvar Town, a fashionable destination all year round and very charming with its bays and coves, its walls and colors. The town is all uphill and downhill, full of restaurants, clubs and boutiques. I suggest you go into the narrow streets and alleys in stone that sometimes remind me of Jerusalem and a walk up to the top of Fortica (Castle) which is 1200m above where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city and Spalmadori islands.

To eat, I tell Alviz that it is very good and has decent prices. To drink: Ka' lavender has personalized and delicious cocktails, friendly and friendly staff. To enjoy a breathtaking sunset walk to Hula Hula Hula Beach along the coast! There are not many beaches in Hvar but from the marina there are a lot of taxi boats (very low cost, about 4 euros per person) to the Spalmadori Islands. Our favourites were Palmizana and Mlini.

What to visit Croatia: Krka National Park

Croatia is not only sea and islands, but also lakes and fairytale parks. We visited the Krka National Park located in Central Dalmatia. After a pleasant walk in the nature of the park, you can reach the beautiful waterfalls where you can bathe with some attention. Don't forget the costume!

What to visit in Croatia: Plitvice lakes

Another unmissable destination is Plitvice Lakes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Immerse yourself in the blue green colours of the lakes, follow one of the marked hiking trails, let yourself be amazed by the beauty of this place. These parks are suitable for all ages as the trails are clearly marked with difficulty, walking time and relevant notes.

We recommend you stay in a hotel or b&b outside the park. We had a great time here.
So are you ready for tomorrow? What do you prefer, sea or mountain?
