Travel Diaries. Exploring the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast

Hello, Steemians!

As it becomes clear from my blog, I am really passionate about traveling and especially exploring beautiful underrated and unpopular destinations in my country - Bulgaria. Some time ago I found a great book that led me to a lot of amazing places - 101 Sideways.

It gathered some secret places in Bulgaria and it kind of helped me to change my perspective about the Bulgarian coast of The Black Sea. I had no idea that there are so many stunning spots there.

And the strange thing is that most likely you won’t meet anybody there. Maybe because they are really literally sideways :) I’ll show you one of them today, it is the cape St. Agalina.

The rocks of this cape are quite spectacular.

Into the rocks there is this 20m deep cleft, where a small boat can enter. Sadly swimming here is not a good idea because it is full with jellyfishes.

The place offers great panoramic views.

That fisherman (the little black dot 😀) was the only person around except us.

After that we roamed around the casle of Ravadinovo. It is not an authentic historical building and it is still in process of construction. It is supposed to look like medieval castle and it is a tourist attraction. Not really my kind of place.

The next shots are from Sozopol . It is an ancient seaside town, but we just passed by without any sightseeing. Just some random shots.

On our way back to Sofia, we catched amazing sunset.
