Trip to Wales: Ceinws, Corris & Machynlleth

Thank you for sharing the most wonderful post! I was brought up about 30 miles south of Machynlleth, so spent many joyful hours in that area, visiting friends and taking school trips to CAT!

So, the flowers... the tall spike of bells is a foxglove. Very poisonous- the digitalis family. We have them in our garden and the bumblebees love them. The claiming purple pink flower there is a clematis. The massive green leaves you saw looks like a gunnera. Not sure on uses... But they get a LOT bigger than that!! The final prickly purple flowers are thistles. Loads of varieties... again, bees love them!

Wonderful post and glad you had a good visit with your friend. Yes... it rains most days in Wales!!! 🤣
