Nubra Valley, a place where journey is more beautiful than the destination

Julieee guysss, today I am gonna take you all with me to my experience of Nubra Valley, which was 5 hours journey from Leh Ladakh. As we were looking for the places to visit in Nubra Valley, but most of the places being so far and due to the shortage of time with us, we ended up on seeing sand dunes in Nubra Valley and a monastery on the way.

I must say, the quote ‘’The journey is more beautiful than the destination‘’ best describes it. The journey to nubra valley was so awesome and this was my personal favourite part. Literally I was gazing the mountains whole of the journey without getting bored and can even gaze more if had a chance.

The greatest privilege of booking taxi of your own while travelling is that you can stop by and explore any place that you want at any time. Just like that, we told our driver to stop by a beautiful river that we just saw. There, we sat for a while and spent a nice and peaceful time.

Monasteries are the heritage jewel for the Ladakh and are definitely worth a visit. We saw Diskit Monastery on our way, which was a 15 min turn away from the main road, and I think this is one of the most visited ones . The monastery was so big, and there was a huge Buddha idol over the monastery, which adds more beauty to it and catches our eye from the distance.

It was almost the time of dawn as we reached sand dunes. There, we saw tourists enjoying camel ride and a small river was flowing by the side, but as I belong to Rajasthan, a state known for the biggest camel festive celebration and the place of desserts, I didn't found it that much fascinating, So after a little while we decided to head towards our hotel. But at our way to the hotel, we saw a board of the ladakhi dance show and decided to have a look at it and to our surprise we enjoyed it a lot. They dressed in identical ladakhi attire and were presenting their dance form on the ladakhi songs. It was a 30 minutes program, where in the end , they also welcome the viewers to try some of their moves with them.

My suggestion to readers is that, after this pandemic gets over and every thing becomes safe, if you plan for leh ladakh, then I hardly recommend to visit this place, as you are really going to enjoy the journey and that will be the worth of your trip.
