This is my second gingerbread house. Last year I did my first, and this year I decided to do it again.
The specifics of gingerbread houses is such that it is done once a year. Accordingly, the acquisition of experience in its manufacture is stretched for a long time. 😂
But experience is emerging.
I decided to write about those changes in the coloring and assembly of the house for those who decide to make it, maybe next Christmas. Suddenly come in handy.
Here is such a house last year, and this one is for sale in the Chinese Ikea.

Therefore, my houses are the same in architecture, but the way of decoration and design are different.
Last year, I suffered a little with the house. The result is this. And very tasty. That is, the result pleased, ate in one day, but the process was quite time-consuming.

And the laborious process turned out because I glued it with my icing, which turned out not very, apparently, sticky. I also made the icing last year for the first time.
And my process looked like this.

That is, first I glued the house, then it was decorated.
This year I went the other, alternative way.
About him, too, is on the Internet, and on YouTube.
First, decorate all parts, dry, and only then glue the finished parts.
So I did.

If last year I made my glaze, only white, and painted only for her, then this year I bought ready-made colored glaze in tubes.

It, of course, is not as bright as the color of the caps, green when drawing is not clear, whether green or blue, the same with red.
But, nevertheless, as you see on the finished dried parts, there is still a color effect, albeit not bright, but color.
I opened the first tube, and inside the stone, the glaze is not squeezed out. I thought I bought defective tubes. I knock a friend who has already made a house with the help of the same glaze, she told me about it, she says that you just need to put it in hot water. And it worked!
So I painted. All the tubes in hot water in a saucepan, you take one out, wipe it, squeeze it out, draw it, spin it, and again with hot water.
I painted all the details, such gouache dries instantly. Work is very nice and fast.
Then I made my glaze, apparently not as thick again as last year, filled all the parts that I wanted to make white, I look, there was still a lot of glaze, so I also filled the whole roof with white squares.
My glaze did not dry instantly.

Therefore, all parts of the house lay overnight. In the morning everything was dry.
The only moment, the gingerbread itself under the glaze softens slightly, so the details become softer and more fragile, more carefully you need to assemble.
And this year they told me about glue.
It glues everything together very quickly.
By the way, the glue was sold in the same place where the house is for sale.

The house is decorated with marshmallows and M & M's.
