The eternal city is a unique and stunning place. When you see it you understand why the Italians and actually virtually everyone knows the proverb "Tutte le strade portano a Roma" or "All Roads Lead to Rome" and indeed when you get to a famous place you figure out at once that there are probably thousands roads leading to the capital of Italia! :)
We've all seen tons of wonderful photos from there presenting us the beautiful architecture and the history but it is really the people who shape it...
So here are few photos of famous beautiful places in our Crowdy Rome...
St. Peter Basilica, Vatican in a calm day. Still, we had to wait about a couple of hours in a queue to buy the tickets and then another couple of hours to get inside...
The Spanish Steps in a cold windy late November day. If you could ignore the noise around you, it is quite a romantic place with wonderful views from the steps. So, despite the relatively bad weather, we spent there about an hour, before walking up the steps and enjoying Villa Medici and Villa Borghese that are close by in a beautiful green and unbelievably clam public park. Ah, I almost forgot to mention, I recommend going to the "Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea" or National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art. I promise you it will poke your imagination and creativity! :P
Sometimes being surrounded by hundreds of people, in a square that, I am sure, had been designed for much less, pushes your creativity to new levels. I was wondering what kind of photos to make to try, at least, being a bit different from the common cliches, and considering at any moment my shoulders have been in contact with those of at least other 2 strangers... LOL. Of course there was no space to put any full-size tripod so I used the pocket one I have to produce this zoom-burst picture below. Still, if you are of the observant type, you are going to notice the people at the left edge.
Fontana di Trevi. Overcrowded 24/7, there are even several videos of people fighting with strangers to get to the front row for those "unique" selfies. Expectation vs. Reality:
Nevertheless, I have to say, that Rome is a must visit and see for the traveler's soul. One have to jump in it. At least once. There is always what to see, feel, taste and smell. True!

I went to Rome for a football match to see Arsenal play Roma (when Arsenal were good enough to be in the Champions League)! Trevi fountain brings back some funny memories but the most important thing, the match result - Arsenal lost 1-0 on the evening but we managed to get through on penalties! Yeaaaa!

Haha yea I won't soon forget it! If I can find any pictures when I was there I will see about writing a post but it was on a very old phone and have no idea if the photos are still available! May have to nab some from somewhere and source them 😀
