Still enjoying every inch of the road you took on this epic journey, what a pity on tours you never have enough time to explore everything or spend extra time in certain areas.

The blue pools, what a staggeringly beautiful spot to stop for a days outing. Soft green ferns and gentle shades of light driving along, excellent photographic recollection @nickyhavey

Hey @joanstewart, thanks a lot for checking it out and you're right about that, these adventure tours really only give you a snapshot as they want you to come back and visit the country later on. Although I could spend my life on New Zealand and still not explore everywhere I don't think! So much to enjoy.

They really were an awesome shade of blue, no photoshop or filter required for nature's beauty hey πŸ™‚

That clear blue water looks AMAZING! Looks shallow but I'd still jump in !

Haha yea man it really was incredible! I would have loved to jump in but it was freezing there on the day. I think if we had enough time and didn't have to hop back on the happy bus some of us would have taken the plunge 😁

Gorgeous views! Are you able to swim in the blue pools or the lake if you wanted to? Or are those restricted in any way?

I believe you can even jump in from the suspension bridge if you wanted but it is ICE cold! Best to do it in the summer to cool off I think 😁

Of course! For a moment there I forgot that down under you're still at the tail end of winter!

Haha well I live in the UK and am back here now but I was in Australia and New Zealand for 3 months in their Autumn time. It was still pretty decent weather and I definitely lucked out for the time of year I was there!

Wow, @nickyhavey! Those BLUE pools are not kidding ! They are really, really BLUE! :O Almost jarring in its cyan-blue-ness, in fact :O :O :O

I love those two shots of the Crown Range lookouts at the end, as well <3 Beautiful !!!!

Hey @veryspider, yea I know right! SO blue, they definitely got the name right for this place hey! Haha!

Yes I wasn't expecting that view point of the Crown Ranges either but was pleasantly surprised when we got there πŸ™‚

Thanks for stopping by

oh your photos really make me want to go, those pools are amazing. Some of the landscape reminds me of Ireland too. Thanks for sharing this with us Nicky xx

They were an unexpected surprise those pools and glad the weather at least brightened up a little bit as it was looking bleak at the first stop! I would love to go back and have longer out there in NZ, hopefully one day, steem prices will rise up from the ashes!

Thanks for checking it out @trucklife-family πŸ™‚

All of your photos, as always, are AMAZEBALLS! However, I have to say the ones of the blue pools are my favorite, as well as that (Insta...what? πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚) second shot of "That Wanaka Tree" - love how you framed that one. Thanks again for sharing the sights and info from your incredible trip, so we can be armchair (or in my case, office chair...LOL) tourists. 😊

If I hadn't know this was in New Zealand, I would easily have mistaken it for Scotland - except for the blue pools. That would have kept me scratching my head. Scotland does have some incredibly blue water off the west coast in places though! And here is Forida we also have a tree that grows out of the water - the bald cyprus tree! Great post, and thanks for the trip! I loved all thos mysterious misty shots!

oh wow! this is such a beautiful area! that Blue Pool looks lke something out of Peter Pan!

Thanks for sharing

Thanks a lot for checking it out @princessmewmew! Yea it was a beautiful spot for sure with the Blue Pools... well, the whole road trip in New Zealand was incredible, I may have to fly back over there in a green costume :)

Beautiful landscapes! I once was a whitewater rafting guide in Colorado, and the company I worked for offered conrtracts to work in New Zealand after three years. I unfortunately took another job and never finished my three years, so couldn't go. It looks like Colorado without human-eating predators and more water.

Haha thanks Justin! And that's cool to hear about your white water rafting guide days! My first white water experience was in the Salmon River in USA (can't remember the state though as it was a long time ago) - but I did a Grade 5 rapid in New Zealand which I wrote about a couple of blogs ago and it was one of the scariest things I've done! I survived without flying out of course, others were not so fortunate :)

Hey there Nicky. Gorgeous landscapes there and I am surprised with the blue pools. Indeed they are blue, more like torquise but still blue lol. You got some great shots there my friend especially with the Wanaka tree.

Hey hey my man @watersnake101! Thanks a lot for checking this out man! Yes they are very blue/turquoise but very beautiful! I got lucky with the weather and atmosphere around that Wanaka tree with the weather and the clouds behind! Thanks to little Daffy the Duck for adding a bit of drama too!

Hope you're all good mate!

Hey @choogirl and @steemitworldmap! Thanks so much for the awesome support here and for featuring in your latest digest! Wow!

That a really long road trip but I wouldn't mind with all those pretty sceneries. The water is soo blue under that suspension bridge, must be an untouched place. And cool Wanaka tree, even ducks like taking a selfie with it 😊

Honestly the scenery makes it feel like no effort at all as I found out when I did a long road trip myself which you'll find out about in a later blog!

The blue pools were stunning and there's a load of blue water in many parts of New Zealand which we'll be exploring later on too!

That Wanaka tree is a pretty surreal one isn't it! Ducks have a hidden talent of taking selfies too haha!
