Wow! this places are very very beautiful. I wish to go there someday :)

Β  Β· Β 5 years agoΒ

Thanks dude. Glad you enjoyed the post.

It is a lovely place to visit πŸ‘

Hot damn, man. That beard is getting out of control! Great pics and great hippy cooperation!

Β  Β· Β 5 years agoΒ (edited)

Glad you enjoyed the jaunt up stoodly pike Boomy πŸ™‚

Yeah, my beard is slowly taking over. Lol my uncle says I'm rocking the homeless hipster look. Grrrr he's the only member of the family who isn't a hippie so we don't let him in on the cat sitting deals 🀣

Cat sitting deals are where it's at. I will have to convince my cat sitter of that though, she charges far too much!

Β  Β· Β 5 years agoΒ

Damn... I never thought about the possibility of charging. To be fair though, where my friend lives is pretty prime real estate for a city person like me. Her house is right up on the hill above Hebden bridge on the edge of a little village called 'old town'. It was such a peaceful spot with serious views etc

Hmnnnn, now to see if I convince my friend in Ibiza to get a cat and go on holiday 🀣

Lol, it's funny you mention Ibiza, that's where I'm off to in a couple of weeks!

Β  Β· Β 5 years agoΒ (edited)

Nice man! I've been there a few times.

Is it your first visit to Ibiza m8?

The central/North of the island is my favourite... away from the big party places if I'm honest. Getting too old for those types of shenanigans. I've written a little about Ibiza on steem a while ago. Let me dig up the posts in case they're useful for ideas of places to visit.

I'm a big fan of Eivissa (Ibiza town). There's a castle wall and real nice old town. Ermm off the top of my head, Es Cana is nice as well but a bit hippie heavy lol

P.s. this may look like I'm shilling you my posts 🀣 but these are both super short photography posts from over a year ago which have info about a few places in ibiza.

las-dalias-hippy-market

Eivissa Town

Also, benniras beach is pretty nice and if your into the whole Ibiza hippie thing, there is an awesome drumming party there every Sunday evening that starts just before sunset. One of my fav memories of Ibiza is of 'getting lucky' on that beach and swimming in the sea as the sun went down.

Lol, I will check them out!

I have been loads actually. Both to the mad bits and top the quiet bits. My favourite is the North/Central now. I know Es Cana, Santa Eulalia quite well and a few other bits. Going to San Miguel this time which I haven't done before so should be good!!!

Β  Β· Β 5 years agoΒ (edited)

Ha ha, sounds like you've been more than me. It certainly is a special Island with an awesome atmosphere.

I've never been to San Miguel on Ibiza. Santa Eulalia is nice, I remember stuffing my face with pastries there next to the marina.

Have you ever made it to Atlantis? It's an old quarry from years ago that's half in the sea making it look a little like a sunken city.

Sa Pedrera

It's kinda like a hidden spot which lies just opposite Isla de es vedra. It's a bit of a hike to get to but impressive when you get there. A bunch of people live in caves there for part of the year with some feral cats lol. I once stayed for a few days with the cave people. Nice enough peeps. The sunsets there are seriously nice.

"and particularly up high where the land meets the sky, can bring clarity and perspective"

so true! it is also recommended for introverts. when we are up there, we get the sense of how small our problems really are!

The monument is so different from what usually is found on top of the hills. Need to visit I guess!

Β  Β· Β 5 years agoΒ

You're so right cleverclogs.

I'm definitely a natural introvert, and I think this is part of why I feel such a strong connection with nature and natural places.

I can highly recommend hebdon bridge and the surrounding area. Tomorrow, I'm going to write about a little village near there called heptonstall where Sylvia Plath was buried.

P.s I love your username. That's an expression my gran used to use all the time, cleverclogs πŸ™‚πŸ‘

I do miss England so. What beautiful blue sunny skies - must have been perfect weather for hiking and glad you got some perspective and blew out the cobwebs, evident by the big grin on your face. I dreamt I was wild camping in Wales last week - perhaps anticipating our visit next year.

Β  Β· Β 5 years agoΒ (edited)

Yes, it was a perfect day for a hike πŸ™‚

I love Wales @riverflows

And I wrote a post nearly 2 years ago about a place called Aber Falls in North Wales that's one of my fav places.

I dreamt I was wild camping in Wales last week - perhaps anticipating our visit next year.

That's so cool. I really like wild camping, and have done it in Wales many times. Gotta watch out for the farmers though, they can get riled sometimes. Lol, when I was young and fearless me and a group of friends used to go up every year around about September and wild camp to pick 'cough cough' medicinal mushrooms πŸ„πŸ˜†

If you find yourself in, or near, Liverpool when you visit it would be cool to meet up and talk all things steem.

hahah you made a greencross! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I can't imagine what was talked on the discords and telegrams about that post

Ha ha. I thought it was genius mate. At the end of the day we have to put ourselves out there sometimes. Writing is my talent, and I used to make so many decent travel posts and short stories on here. I thought I'd give it a shot again.

Yes, it is funny that it's like a new verb on steem... to do a 'greencross'πŸ˜‚

Thanks for checking out my post πŸ‘

hahaha it's like to do 'Homer' but on Steem!.

I will check the whole post out today once I get 'busy' out of my way.

Cheers!!
