Weekend road trip keeps my Soul Alive and Adrenaline racing...

I always look forward for weekends to embark on new so called adventurous journey and Road Trip is the closest to my heart!

Tracy Chapman's Grammy Award Winner song Fast Car always on my mind whenever I embark on Road Trip......the song goes like You got a fast car , but is it fast enough so you can fly away still reverberates in my mind while on drive.

Every time new driving experience whether to changing landscapes, transition of concrete jungle to greener jungle , to waterbeds to valleys to tunnels so on and on keeping you ALIVE in true sense. In addition the unique "Sun Chasing", experience sometimes behind, along with you or in front of you during the drive till it sets.

The best part of the road trip is the changing landscapes as per the seasons (Spring, Autum, Winter, Monsoon) the aroma of the surroundings even if you travel to the same destination with the same route and that's the beauty of our mother nature ** Changing and Alive**.

Road trips also give you an opportunity to explore local flavours and cuisines to satiate your taste buds and the best part of India where I live, both Culinary/cuisine and language/Dialect changes in every 100 miles to give you variety of flavours while changing gears on the wheel which perhaps no other country could offer. So stopping at Food court or food mall brings another excitement to binge on variety of foods, fried, deep fried, greasy to name whatever but rest assured satiate your taste buds and gastronomical delights.

Now its Winter in India, the best season I must say to travel to any parts of India by road, air or train and LONAVALA being hill station is one of the best choices to drive especially for me staying closer to it around 2 hour drive through expressway with incredible landscapes on both the sides. The stretch offers you picturesque western ghats, homes on the hills, valleys and tunnels all in one so called One Of Its Kind Road trip

The Advertise billboard on the hill at strategic location catches attention on thousand of eyeballs per day, not surprisingly, Jeep Compass is one of the popular SUVs in India.

I still get excited when the car passes through tunnels cutting through mountains still gives me goose bumps and escalate my mood further. The reverberative effect of speeding vehicles, honking, flashing of lights inside the tunnel add more flavour to the road trip.
