I have been lucky enough to visit a few countries that not a lot of people visit, mainly for my work. I thought it would be a good idea to share these experiences with you guys. After Eritrea, Somalia and North Korea, now a second write-up on Papua New Guinea; some other countries that are on my list to be included in this series are: South Sudan, Iraq, Bhutan and perhaps a few others.
While I'm in Papua New Guinea (PNG) for a short stay - as we speak - I'll write a post on this country once in a while. Below some interesting facts of this little-known country.

The national bird of PNG is the Raggiana bird of Paradise. The local name of the bird is ‘kumul’, which is also the nickname of the national rugby team.

What language do they speak?
Well, let's say languages - it is estimated that there are over 850 languages in Papua New Guinea, and PNG is therefore the most linguistically diverse place on earth. The country has four official languages: Tok Pisin, English, Hiri Motu, and the Papua New Guinean Sign Language.
