Do you love getting out to see natural wonders? Do you love chasing beautiful waterfalls? Check out one of the Philippines’ waterfalls + tips on how to get there.

Growing up in the Philippines has never been this fun since our country has many collection of impressive beautiful beaches, stunning waterfalls, mountains name it all we have it all. Philippines will never ran out of natural wonders. One might be famous today then new one will going to be discovered tomorrow. Our country has alot of innumerable wonders of nature (found locally) to offer and our visitors have many choices to see in our country that is perfect for those people who are nature-loving backpacker which has only minimal entrance fee you can't go wrong. My interest and cravings for visiting waterfalls are oftentimes not that strong than how I feel about beaches. Im really into beaches-the sea making me feel tiny, humble, inspired and salty all at once.

Many waterfalls in the Philippines are not easy to find or not that accessible. But adventure awaits that is why it takes a great deal of struggle in order to reach the destinations but its all worth it at the end.

Samar area one of the province in the Philippines have a lot of amazing waterfalls.
While there are many other waterfalls that are equally beautiful, check out this waterfalls thay we have in our region.

One of the best waterfalls that we have is the LULUGAYAN FALLS located in the town of Calbiga.

• HOW TO GET THERE:

• TACLOBAN-CALBIGA
☞ Van/Bus
(Tacloban City North Bus Terminal)
☞ Fare 70php/pax
☞ Travel Period 1 hour+

• CALBIGA TO LULUGAYAN FALLS
☞ Rent for habal-habal (motor ride).
Each habal-habal can accommodate 2-3 person.
FYI: Habal-habal are extended motorcycle that are known as the primary means of transportations on mountain parts of Visayas
☞ Fare P200.00 (back and forth)
☞ Travel period- 30 minutes-45 minutes
The ride is a little challenging since most of the road are still not paved completely or the roads are still under construction. The habal-habal had to pass through a 20 kilometer of dirt road composed of uphill and downhill that made the vehicle whine like it would die in the middle of it. If you’re not used to riding motorcycles, better brace yourself.
(We were not able to take pictures during the entire trip to Lulugayan Falls since we are three in the habal-habal. One sitting at the front before the driver while the other two was at the back of the driver plus the heat under the heat without any umbrella. Imagine the difficulty of travelling to the waterfalls)
⚠ Before heading to LULUGAYAN FALLS make sure you have lots of foods and drinks with you since there are no stores and canteens in the place.
⚠ Wear something that will cover you during the entire travel since you will be exposed too much in the sun.
✔ Apply sunblock
✔ Wear leggings, cardigans, rashguard, hat/cap, sunglass and scarf
✔ You can bring with you umbrella so you have something to use during the entire 10-15 minutes walk.

• WHEN IN LULUGAYAN FALLS
☞ Upon reaching the small community
(Brgy. Literon) where we stopped in front of a house where a signage says: “Lulugayan Falls No Permit No Entry”. You need to pay first the following fees before having a 10-15 minutes walk going to the waterfalls proper.
Settle your fees:
• Cottage Fee P300.00

People often say, it’s all about the journey, not the destination. So the journey starts. The trail is cemented and it has butterfly in it.

Butterflies come follow me!

From Brgy. Literon we walked for about 15 minutes through the 740-meter trail where we passed through rapids, bridges and mini falls that made us more thrilled and exciting to see the waterfalls as we can hear also the rushing water of Lulugayan Falls. Good thing that the trail is cemented that made our journey easier.

Of course we will never get tired of groufie.
Insert groufie in between walks and walks
Traveling with friends makes us feel more fulfilled.

Who would have thought that there is actually a paradise hiding beneath the numerous hills of Calbiga? From afar we can see already water falling angrily and flowing freely to the rapids.

LULUGAYAN FALLS is more beautiful during summer when the current of the water is too weak that makes the rock formation of the falls visible and you can even climbed to the upstream through the falls. Since it rained before the day we went there, the color of the falls turned brown and the current was too strong that swimming was strictly prohibited that time. Lulugayan Falls is composed of hundreds of waterfalls cascade down the 14-kilometer rapids from the source at Lake Kalidongan to the Calbiga River. Approximately fifty meters wide, Lulugayan Falls has been dubbed by tourists as a Mini Niagara in the Philippines.

Despite the current of the water, it didn’t stop us from taking souvenir shots. The good thing about LULUGAYAN FALLS was you just had to fight the current since the ground was flat.
LRM_EXPORT_20180414_165517.jpg
We even managed to take a lot of souvenir picture there without worrying that we might be carried away by the water.

To unlimited shots for summer happens only once in a year.

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

Each habal-habal can accomodate 2-3 person but ir depends on wht rype of habal-habal
It should be accommodate instead of accomodate.
