A cool breeze from the ocean and tons of sand. Our mini-holiday to two beaches north of Brisbane, Australia.

As many others from working class, we had some time off work on the Christmas period. We (me and my husband) packed our stuff to the car and drove about two hours north of Brisbane Australia, to Noosa. After a big hassle for a parking spot, we took a walk in the National Park and enjoyed a cool breeze coming from the ocean. At some point, we went for a swim and did some snorkeling. For our luck, we even saw a stingray! It would have been a perfect day if there would not have been so many people.

Next day we drove about an hour and 40 minutes to Rainbow Beach. In there we particularly loved Carlo Sand Blow were I took most of the pictures below. But we went for a swim in the morning for about an hour or so and got a sunburn. There is no time to grab an SPF50 when you are in the water! By 2 pm we looked like boiled lobsters and after seeing the huge sand blow, decided to head back home.

It's good to do some traveling time after time. Even if it is only for two days. It makes me feel alive and gets me off of my boring daily routine.

Nice. I see you live in Brisbane--we just had a Brisbane meet-up yesterday. You could have come. Next time.
