Hello All!
I have started a food and travel blog and site at https://www.nomadicfoodandtravel.com/
On my Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/nomadic_food_and_travel/ I often post fun and interesting pictures and descriptions of my food and travel experiences around the world and locally around South Florida.
My first post reviewing who I am and what I do can be found below and at https://www.nomadicfoodandtravel.com/single-post/firstpost-Ilovetoeatilovetotravel
I Love To Eat. I Love To Travel.
For years now, people in my circle have always told me that I should share my travel and food experiences with the rest of the world. I thought, I've only 'really traveled' for about 5 years now, what can I really contribute? At that very moment in time, when I was in my own thoughts, a friend texted me and asked me for BBQ recommendations in Austin, TX. Right there I realized - I am THAT GUY! I love to experience the food and dishes that each place is known for and I make sure that I have a few of these specialties lined up on all of my trips. I also hunt and bargain shop for flights and lodging accommodations for up to months until the course of the trip eventually starts to fall into place. I share these experiences with passion, and that is why I am constantly being reached out to for food and exploration recommendations in random cities and restaurants around the world which I then take pride in advising.
I envision creating an insightful community by engaging with others that also love to eat really good food and travel to really cool places. I plan to update the blog with a couple of new articles and posts each month about topics that range from my past travels to future plans and food and restaurant recommendations and so on. I want to write about things like our backpacking adventures through the mountain villages in Morocco, and recap the worlds largest and craziest full moon party on Ko Pha Ngan island in the middle of the Gulf of Thailand, or perhaps highlight our experience in our tree house villa in the Costa Rican rain forest, etc. On this years growing 'travel to' list: New Orleans, LA / Havana, Cuba / Munich, Germany / Switzerland / Amsterdam, Netherlands.
When I plan to go to new places, I usually research a healthy amount of information and construct a jam packed one page pdf itinerary (my travel buddies tease me for this, but they love it) that includes touristy and locals things to do, nightlife areas to visit and where and what to eat. I have sent many versions of my itineraries out to those who request it after tailoring it to the travelers because I truly want others to enjoy it all as much as I have, because, well, I love to eat, I love to travel.
I actually sometimes feel a mild sense of anxiety when I know that I do not have any trips approaching in the months ahead of me, so about two years ago I set a new goal to always have a planned adventure looming in the near future. If you check out the tab 'Where I've Been' it will take you through the countries and cities that I have visited both within the US and Internationally, and I will update these in the coming months for reference with specific places and dishes to add to your bucket lists.
A little background on me: I'm a 32 year young Latino American who was born, raised and currently based in the South Florida area (Miami / Ft. Lauderdale) with parents from the Caribbean. After high school, I stayed in my home state to go to Florida State University for my bachelors and then to Florida Tech for my masters before moving back to South Florida to be near my family. My mom, dad, sister, grandma, aunts, uncles and godfather are my biggest supporters and I have a diverse and genuine foundation of friends around me that I am very grateful for. My hobbies and passions include traveling, food, dining, cooking, poker and writing.
I was fortunate enough to land a job for 5 years as a project manager that required me to travel nationally, some years over 50% of the time. After I virtually went to every new city that my job allowed me to visit within the US, I started to think farther, dream bigger. I started to focus on international plans while still mixing in new national adventures. I met a plethora of friends along the ride in high school, college, graduate school and work that are now dispersed around the country. This presented great opportunities - visit old friends + a free place to stay! Example: I have visited the San Francisco / Oakland area 3 times but have never paid a cent to stay anywhere. Same with Los Angeles, Boston, New York and a few other cities as I plan to write more about this in the coming months.
I would be delighted to reply to any and all recommendations, comments, suggestions and questions about anything your hearts may desire. If anyone would like a recommendation in South Florida or anywhere else on the planet, shoot me a message with the details and I would love to help. If there is anything that you want me to research and or write about, reach out, it would be a pleasure! Thanks for reading and embarking on our journey and goal of eating and traveling gloriously around the world!

Duluth/Superior (The Twin Ports) was nominated as the Greatest Outdoor City in America a few years ago by Outside Magazine.
If you haven't read the Welcome page yet you should! It's where I got started and found some really useful information on getting noticed.
Just have fun sharing and enjoy yourself! The [FAQ}(https://steemit.com/faq.html) also has some really useful articles, but feel free to ask me anything if you need help!
If you haven't heard of discord, it's an all-in-one voice and text chat. Some of the communities within Steemit use this. Here is a good article on how to join:
