Introduction
Nested in the heart of northeastern France is a tiny region called Champagne-Ardenne. Many people confuse Champagne-Ardenne with its more famous neighbor, Champagne, but there's no need to worry about such things because both are very good for wine. You should visit them both! Anyway, since you're already here, let's take a look at some of the most interesting places in this part of France:
Stenay
Stenay is a small village with a little over 5,000 inhabitants in the Meuse region of northeastern France. It's located on the banks of the Meuse River near its confluence with the Marne River.

Haybes
Haybes is a village in the Ardennes, in the Charleville-Mézières arrondissement. It is located in the Meuse department in northeastern France.
Located at an altitude of 695 m, Haybes has a population of 2,800 inhabitants and an area of 11 km².
Bazeilles
Bazeilles is a village in northeastern France located in the Meuse department. It is also located in the Ardennes region. The village is famous for its castle, which was built in the 12th century and used as a residence by several different noble families until it was destroyed during World War II.
Sedan
Sedan, a commune in France, is located in the Ardennes department. It also belongs to the Grand Est region and the Meuse department. Sedan is located on a river called Meuse and it’s surrounded by mountains that give it a unique landscape.
The city has an old town which sits on top of a hill overlooking everything else around it. The streets are small and cobblestone lined with Medieval-looking houses, cafes and shops filled with French goods all around town!
The most famous attraction here is probably Château de Sedan which was built during Charles V's reign over France back in 1381 CE (Common Era). Today this castle serves as an historical monument open for tours but unfortunately we weren't able to visit since it was closed during our stay here!
Charleville-Mézières
Charleville-Mézières is a commune in the Ardennes department in northern France. It is the capital of the Ardennes department. Charleville-Mézières is located in the Meuse valley, between Sedan and Rethel.
It was formerly known as "Charleville", but this name only referred to half of the commune (the part east of the Meuse). The other half belonged to Mezieres until they merged with Charleville at some point before 1845, when it became known simply as Charleville again; however, some people still refer to their city as Charleville-Mezieres today.
Carignan
Carignan is a commune in the Ardennes department in northern France. The village is known for its medieval castle and its church, which was built in the 14th century and was consecrated in 1413.
Carignan Castle is one of the oldest castles in France, having been built in 1170 by Nicolas de Malmédy (died 1206). It was then owned by six generations of his descendants until it fell into disrepair. In 1519, Jean-Claude de Malmédy began work on restoring it and adding an additional wing; he also had the original keep rebuilt over an existing ruin so that it could be used as a dungeon—something that would not have been possible with just one level.*
Vouziers
Vouziers is a small town in northeastern France with a population of under 10,000. It's part of the Ardennes region, which means it has a lot of forests and other green areas, including natural reserves. There are also some great museums to visit!
The history of Vouziers dates back more than 2,000 years. The Romans used this area for mining lead and zinc ores beginning back around 200 B.C., and they named it after their goddess Venus (Diana). You may be familiar with a similar word—"venereal." That's where that came from! Over time people started living here, too—it's not just all about minerals!
Revin
Revin is a commune in the Ardennes department in the Grand Est region of France. It is situated on the Semoy River, a tributary of the Meuse.
Revin is located on the Semoy River, a tributary of the Meuse. The town grew up around its Benedictine abbey founded by Charlemagne in 796AD and its vineyards; it was once known as 'Le Petit Champagne'.
Givet
