Differences of living on a boat versus land

So we have been living on our lovely, with lots of character, Marine Trader trawler for a year now. The house we had before buying the boat was 1500 sq. ft with 3 bedrooms. The boat is 34'...big difference in space....and we've adjusted quite well we think :)

Some of the differences include the usage of breakers. Anytime we want to do dishes or take a shower, we have to flip the breaker for the water heater and wait about 30 minutes for the water to heat up and then flip the breaker for the sink/shower water pump.

Another difference is the 120v and the 12v, smaller fridge, and space obviously. Our boat has two cabins with a bathroom in each one. Our Saloon consists of a 1 sink kitchen and a small living area with seating. We've had to get rid of alot because we can only fit so much and we're still finding ourselves getting rid of more things (clothes, household items we don't use, and other random things), and really, it's a great feeling to get rid of the clutter.

We love boat life! Land lubbers no more!
