What I Dislike About the New Stay at Home Cure

It is amazing to me that people continue to come up with new and improved "treatments" for what I am sure are eternal problems. As someone who has suffered through many of these so-called cures, let me offer you my own personal verdict. None of them will cure you! Unless you are willing to accept a different viewpoint, nothing in the world will change your circumstances.

And you are not really even addressing the real problem. So many people are convinced that they have to try everything, and this usually leads to unneeded side effects and health risks. All the while, the real issue lies just beneath the surface, waiting to be dealt with properly. If only you would look deep enough...

The first thing I dislike about the new approach to healing is that it focuses on the situation of the sufferer. Rather than seeing things from the patient's point of view, it tries to solve problems from the doctor's point of view. In other words, if something is causing the patient discomfort, it is cured by the doctor! The problem is, this is not how it works.

What I dislike about the stay at home cure is that it doesn't recognize that many people today are simply busy. While it is good to be able to get a lot of work done, there are times when we simply don't have the time to do everything we need to, so we end up procrastinating. This can lead to unwanted side effects, such as lessened effectiveness.

So this brings me to the next point. Once a remedy is found, the practitioner often becomes the one who criticizes the patient. It's all too easy for them to say things like, "You just need to relax more," or "Stop working so hard! ".

Instead of finding the cure for whatever it is that you are suffering from, you might find yourself more frustrated than ever before. For instance, if your back hurts while at work, but you do not do any back stretching while at home, you will continue to get back pains at work, even though you know that you should be doing back stretches! In the same way, someone who does a lot of yoga when they are home will still get lower back pain, despite the fact that they should be doing lower back stretching! In these cases, the individual simply needs to remind themselves that they are supposed to be doing yoga! And also to remind themselves that they do not need to do it more often!

Also, another thing that I dislike about the new stay at home cure is that people will pick up on my insecurities and tell me that I must be eating better or I must be working out more. This is something that I can totally understand, because I know exactly how it feels to be miserable. But instead of thinking this through and changing the things that I am doing, I become inward and it is much harder for me to pick up on the fact that I am not happy. What I want to do is just to remind myself that I am in control and that I do have the power to change things around!

The last thing that I dislike about the new stay at home cure is that they actually recommend going on a vacation to help cure your insomnia. Why would anybody who has done everything that they are supposed to be doing to fix their problem do an extended vacation to cure it? You may feel as if you need a break from work, but what good will it do you? So if someone is telling you that you need to get away from everything for a while, I would definitely say that it is not necessary! You should always try to get as much rest as you can and remember that this is a crucial step towards fixing your problem, not giving in to it.
