Sometimes I wonder how stupid a decision could be.
You see a lovely tree.
You may like it or you may not; this is not my point.
My rant is because of its location.
In this area most of the year we have sunny days.
We want some protection from the sun; we need it.
There are plenty of appropriate shadow trees, but there is no one who will listen.
Trees is very useful for sun shading and absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen for us to use. But in this case, as what your photo shown above, this tree was planted beside the road mainly for artistic design and not to shade the passerby.

I guess authorities who planted these trees (or bushes) want you to just fit yourself inside the bush if you want some shade. JUST KIDDING!
I see your point. What a silly move and a waste of tree space. There are many more trees appropriate for that spot for sure.
