Venturing into the wild wild woods was never my plan ..... there is sure to be a wild wild monster

Near my home is a scary wild wild woods and it is across the way and down the road along the path to the surf beach.

My imagination goes into overdrive, my heart thumps, there has to be a wild wild monster in my wild wild woods. I know the story.

My plan is to always get to the friendly beach to feel the sand between my toes and to breathe in the salt air so I gladly look ahead.



But, yesterday a voice in my head sternly told me off, "Stop being a snivelling little coward daring me to look sideways. You are a grown up remember, grown ups are brave."

" I am never a coward!" I said out loud turning toward the wild wild woods. I gave a quick glance expecting a wild wild monster to roar at me and all I saw was a little woodland with a man made pole standing tall and foreign in the greenery. Really?



With a smile and a little giggle I strode into my wild wild woods which is not wild at all. It is a green belt full of trees, plants and stones. The wild wild monster is hiding away frightened of the trampling sounds of a human in his wild wild woods.

I am not the only scaredy cat in this story. Wild wild monsters are not brave at all.
