Almost a Spring Tree Tuesday

Continuing Saga of the now Soggy Driveway

This was a series of 6 shots with the camera on end, and of course on a tripod. I am not real happy with the way the sky color came out, but it is actually a pretty close approximation of the color at the time, just not quite so deep/dark a blue, but pretty close eyeball view wise. i do like the trees and the grass areas, they do represent the actual colors of the moment.

It was Tuesday, today. so about four o'clock I stepped outside to get some pictures. Still playing with several programs and this is the result of three programs. Winter is almost over for us, so now we just have to deal with the slow to sometimes rapid meltdown of the snow piles. Thus we are into the Soggy Driveway Saga. I have a few driveway post, the last one prior to this was from the first of the month. We evidently had our last snow fall, and we were running out of room in the event it snowed again, so the driveway guy brought out the front end loader to push the snow back. I guess it was not really needed since it did not snow again since then, but we all know what would have happened if he did not bring out the heavy equipment, it would have kept snowing. So on into spring I hope we roar.

Ah yes, but it is Tuesday today, so I took a stand alone picture of our circle cluster of trees.

Time for an early evening drive and hopes of a sunset, but not a lot of clouds so we will see. I hope you enjoyed the pictures and slight edits, and HAPPY Tree Tuesday.

Hey, @bashadow.

It's too bad that the dark blues didn't match up with the reality, because that's some very cool deep blue.

That's a nice stand of trees. Any chance a hammock gets thrown up between two trunks during the time of the year it actually might be pleasant to jump into one? :)

When is typical to get the last snowfall for the season, and, how do you know you've had the last one? I ask because we don't come close to kind of winters and snow you do, but we've had snow into March, and once into April before, when that used to be unheard of.

I think we're supposed to be in the middle of some kind of milder, drier weather down here thanks to El Niño, I think it is. Or La Niña. Always getting those two mixed up. Is that big enough to effect you all the way up there, or do you have something else at work?

The sky was pretty much the color of the sky in the second picture. last snow for us is pretty iffy a lot of times. It can still snow in April and May. Safe, ground is not going to freeze planting season is the last week of May. Anything before the 15th of May may end up as a frozen disaster.

I don't think my back would take a hammock anymore, and even if it did you would need mosquito netting over top of you and then they would still bite you in the ass.

Interesting on the planting season, since ours can start in April (I think a lot of people like to start it then), but because of the heavier rains that generally show up in April and into May, in my case, it's at least the first week and maybe later into May before we're doing any kind of garden ourselves. It just ends up being a muddy mess without enough sunshine.

Doing that, though, can get some things in late, like tomatoes, so I don't know. Each spring and summer is different, and some plants do well one year and not so great the next. I'm not smart enough to determine why, or to know how to hedge against it, so a-planting we go and we see what happens from there.

re: mosquitoes

Yeah, you wouldn't that. :)

I know the blues may not be quite what you saw but they look beautiful, soon the greens will return to the circle of trees

Yes I am looking forward to the return of spring and the snow being gone from the ground.More color needed in life than the washed out dirty white and colorless skies. Snow is nice for that clean look when it first falls, but after a while it gets dirty, dusty and just not good looking, and I start to want to see the reds and yellows and greens of spring.

Ohh yes even though we did not get so much snow I am sick of the dull colors also and looking forward to the warm colors of spring
