The red flowers on the branches...Very pretty
So many flowers, not many leaves.... interesting
Thank you for sharing @joanstewart :D

Winter leaves drop off, almost like stepping aside for flowers to show-off. Fresh leaves appear in spring, this tree always has some leaves though @kaerpediem

Thanks for taking time to admire @sgbonus

I love when you look at the plant and it reminds you of something and you see it got name by that. Not like dragon tree for example.

Trees get some great names @psyceratopsb will have to look for a dragon tree, not familiar with that at all.

What an amazing and beautiful tree! Thanks for the story. Great photos.

Pleasure sharing a little about southern Africa @eto-ka

I love the vibrant color of your coral tree. That is a very striking tone and so beautiful. Have a great week Joan.

Some trees really catch your eye when walking during the winter months, this one in particular gives such a spectacular display each year Wanda @sunscape thanks for visiting.

Thanks for sharing its beauty with us.

I love your photographs of the bark of the coral trees as much as the brilliance of their red flowers Joan.

Each tree in life serves more than one purpose.

I wonder how else the bark may be used in natural medicine? Which also makes me think of the textures on old pines and our Aussie Old Man Banksia. Perhaps the bark of these trees have wound healing properties too? ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Most of the trees are used in many ways, this ones bark is stripped off, burned, powdered and used for dressing wounds, more than likely other uses as well!

Local tribe elders are really the people to meet to obtain information @allyinspirit knowledge is normally shared down through families or Sangoma: Traditional South African Healer.

Wow, what a great and beautiful tree. Never seen before.

Thanks for kind comment @ikarus56

It's old but it's beautiful, I love looking at old trees.
Thanks for sharing.

This one may still be quite young at 30-40 years, living to over 100 years imagine what it looks like then @joelai

That can only be found in rain forest I guess...

This tree enjoys being near rivers...

Wow, absolutely amazing photograph.I really like this picture.

Thanks for lovely comment @tussar11 trees hold their beauty year on year.

Nice shots @joanstewart

The red is a real explosion of colour against that beautiful blue sky.

Gaz

Quite compelling to look at when in full flower like that @cheese4ead

Tree ID, accompanying plant life, and their medicinal uses is my next personal project.

Solid post. Thanks.

Namaste, Jaichai

I really look forward to learning about trees in your region @jaichai it becomes quite a passion researching trees you find to photograph when out walking.

Interesting trees. I did not now they exist.

And a good thought for today.

Thanks for sharing, really!

Each continent offers amazing variety many trees I have learned about here in Steemit around the world.

Proverb speaks clearly on what we plant, nurture today for future generations is never immediate gratification for oneself @manoldonchev

I totally understand that. This is why I like it so much.
