Cool prompt :) When I was a kid growing up in Cape Town, I lived near the beach front and there were these little carefully cultivated groves of milkwood. They were small and stunted (from the wind and salt I think) but I really used to love hanging out /playing in them. Years later, I returned to the area to find they'd cut them all down :(

It's a pity they were removed :/ Hopefully you have some nice trees where you live now?

My wife and I were married by the Bur Oak Tree on the farm I grew up on. It was the 2nd oldest in the county, but was hit by lightning, but was still alive!

Love it.

They look like nice trees. Hopefully you got some nice photos underneath it :)

The Herbig Family Tree was actually burnt out. Its interesting to see how sturdy trees are.

So many pictures. It's really a wonderful tree

👍

When I was a kid, I had a tree in my backyard that I visited a lot. I loved to climb it and go as high as I could. It was a strong tree, not that old, but it may have been there longer than the house which was about 15 years old. I don't really know the history of the tree, but it was there when we moved into that house, and it was well established.

I could get 15 to 20 feet up into it and be hidden by its leaves and branches. It was a great place to sit and think and enjoy nature. That's my history of hanging out in my favorite tree which was significant to me. :)

Sounds like you had a lot of fun :) I've never been a tree climber myself, but I enjoyed playing around the tall ones when I was in primary school.

My grandma had an olive tree in her backyard, and this tree is part of my childhood memories. She would ask us to help her collect the olives and then, under the porch of the yard, she would prepare them to be ready for our Christmas eve. The olives would rest inside a big clay pot in the shadow of the porch.
We were a big family and we, all cousins around the same age, grew together under the protection of her wings.
While she prepared them, she would tell us, their granddaughters and grandsons, some tales about how we should stick together like the branches of the tree. She was the trunk and would protect and feed us always, and each of us was a tiny olive from the tree.
We replied saying we were in less number than the olives, but she would reply saying olives are little babies of the world and not all of them had a grandma, so she would take care of them all.
I will always love my grandma and keep her within my heart! She's my guardian angel and I'm still her little olive!

Your grandmother sounds like an inspiring women. Thanks for sharing this :)

Aw, the pleasure is mine, my friend! She was, indeed! I miss her so much! Even my Steemian name is her surname, that I've adopted as my main surname, for life!
I hope many Steemians accept your challenge! Thanks so much for sharing your story too!

Thanks so much for choosing my history, @kiokizz, I'm truly happy with that! The problem is that I can't figure out which account I am supposed to have... can you help? I'm on discord server already! It's a byteball wallet? Thanks in advance!

Sorry for the late reply! I've just seen some cards. Are they meant to play, or to keep? Or what ;)? Thanks so much!

Currently the game is inalpha, so the collection and trading of cards is all that can be done currently. I believe the game play may begin next month if development is on schedule.

Ok, thanks so much for the info!

This is our tree in our house. A Macopa tree also known as Java Apple. It has been with us since it was a plant. As I recall it has been with us for approximately 18 years already. This tree has been bearing fruits for us lately.

Congratulations on winning Prize #1 - 2 x Steem Basic Income share.

This tree is still a mystery to me. I mean I don't know anything about this tree. I've seen it in the territory of our National Memorial of Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. I even shared a post about it here in steemit and wanted to know if this tree is familiar to others so that I can know something. But turns out that no one was familiar about it who saw my post. So it's the history.

It is unique 👍

I've never seen a tree like this. Some sort of palm tree I assume? Hopefully you find more about it in the future.

yeah, it could some sort of palm tree but I'm not so sure about it.
And I hope I'll find more about it in the future.
Thanks for saying.

When I was younger, we had a tree by our house that my brother and I always played by. The most interesting part of this massive tree (which I don't know the exact name of the type of tree, maybe an Oak) had a ton of black ants that lived around it. There was always a massive colony at the base of it. My brother and I spent hours watching it, but never disturbed them or hurt them. Just watched...I miss that tree honestly.

Can't say I like ants too much, but they are alright when they keep their distance :) Where they big or small ants?

They were pretty small actually! So not too bad!

Thanks for participating. Hopefully I'll here from you when I run my next prompt theme :)

Wow...it looks like it could walk away at any minute. Maybe that's why they had to put a fence around it.

😊 Hopefully it doesn't run away.. I'm not sure the fence would keep it in.

If you'd like to enter the giveaway the prompt is in the post above.

Wow!! That tree is amazing... The roots on the bottom are like massive Rhino or Elephant feet... Really cool tree..

The roots definitely give it a life like aura 🙂

If you'd like to enter the giveaway the prompt is in the post above.
