The Old Dog Presents: Tree Tuesday an Example of Healing and Perseverance!

in treetuesday •  6 years ago

While out for a walk in the mountains today I spotted an unusual looking tree that I knew that I needed examine and learn from.

From a distance it looked like two halves of the tree trunk were growing around something.

Upon closer inspection it looked like the tree had been severely gutted right up its trunk!

Although his tree bore severe scars it has survived and thrived.

What Lessons Can we Draw From This Tree?

  • Like the tree we too can heal from physical and emotions damage
  • We may be left with scars but we can still be strong and beautiful
  • No matter what our situation is we can succeed if we persevere!

Why not join treetuesday the awesome community building hashtag which is brought to you by @old-guy-photos? It just might help you to persevere and heal!

Thanks for following me on my travels and I look forward to sharing my adventures with you.

Until next time,

I don't rightly know how many Tree-Tuesday post I made in 2018, but I do know that the first one I made was on the first Tuesday of 2018. Tall Tree Tuesday @old-guy-photo. I thought I had missed out on treetuesday, but I did not. I hope to get a tree tuesday out again on the first tuesday of this year, maybe it will become a tradition, they have started on less thoughts before. So always start with a moose monday, (and I did, and we made homemade Chocolate Mousse for dessert on monday), and follow up with a treetuesday. Nature in motion (the moose), and nature standing still waiting for us to grow (the tree).

I will find a suitable tree tuesday picture and make a post of it today.

Great....an I love chocolate mousse!

Very glad that you decided to start off the year with a Tree Tuesday!

Excellent take away. Yes we can grow from our scars and our struggles. I think they draw us closer to the on who created us...and indeed is spiritual. Blessings @kus-knee.

You are so right!

I agree with you, we need to fight. But as far as trees are concerned, sometimes it is necessary to remove a diseased tree in order to avoid an outbreak of the disease. I think the reason is complex. These are temperature changes, fungal infection, fungi, insects. One reason gave rise to other causes. I have seen many similar trees this year. Interestingly. Foresters did not know that they are the source of the disease. They used the same chainsaw to clean young trees and to cut old, sick trees.

You are correct. We have the misitry of forestry right near our home and they are regularly checking the trees.

What a great and motivational example, especially on new year's day! I wish you and your family a very happy and prosperous new year 2019!

Thanks friend. Greetings to the family!

I love when the lesson is not wasted. Thank you for sharing it with us and Happy #treetuesday on Saturday! Oh, I am a day late and a dollar short!

Thanks so much!

My pleasure. Always.

Ah very true Old Dog. I must have missed this from the holiday I was a ghost on here. Never give up is what I like to say. Also I have believed in doing my own thing as in Steemit. Much like the tree, one can live and thrive where we find ourselves planted. I think it is important to honestly post what you enjoy, therefore you have fun regardless of the financial rewards. Here is to a good new year for us both as well as for our site.

Yes fun is good!

Wahnsinn!!! ;-D

I had to check the dictionary for that one!

I was thinking in german :-))))

Sure, we can and must learn from the story of this tree. Perseverance! It often leads to success!
Happy New Year, @kus-knee!

Indeed!

Life is a combination of hard and easy time, you can also take them as scars and healing feeling on the tree. Hard time is there to give us the lesson,

That's a good way of viewing things!

Looks like some of the roots have died
