Tree Tuesday – Trees at Rifle Falls

in treetuesday •  6 years ago

For #treetuesday I thought I would do a few more photos from my camping trip to Rifle Gap State Park in Colorado. Here’s a top down view of the falls that you can see if you hike around the trail:

You can see more of a front view of the falls in my previous post on Rifle Falls. Here’s another picture from lower down where you can see more of the trees growing around the base of the falls:

One of the really fun things to do is go up in one of the limestone cave formations that looks out from behind the falls. There are some pretty views here and the sound of the water and mist feels good on a hot day.

The reservoir looks a bit low. These trees look a lot different from the ones that typically grow around the Cascade mountains. They are much smaller in Colorado.

Back home the clouds were looking beautiful with the evening sunlight lighting them up:

Nice sharing dear.Keep it up...

The environment and topography of the place looks awesome and a pure gift if nature and beauty. The terrain also looks nice

That's superior place and remarkable live camera shots @lightsplasher. Totally stunning all shots. Great work.

Full screen makes me feel I'm right there. Wish I knew how to do that. I tried once couldn't get it done.

Oh, what a great shot of Rifle Falls! I love how you captured the water as it is cascading down into the riverbed below.

The water level is really down and in this part of the country, it is really high. Trade a little? Thank you for bringing nature into my livingroom tonight. So glad you shared a piece of your trip with us.

Nature is an amazing part of life.

Upped and Steemed

So beautiful!
