Tree Tuesday English Garden Munich

Hi friends, today's TreeTuesday submission shows you some photos from the English Garden in Munich. The professional photographers here will shake their head how I took these but it was some years ago, crap camera and I have only learned a bit about photography since I am here.

"The Englische Garten (“English Garden”) is one of the largest urban parks around the world with new buildings and green spaces added again and again. The concept was started back in 1789 when Elector Carl Theodor ordered that a public park should be established along the Isar River.

The Garden is even larger than New York's Central Park with an area of 3.7 km2 (1.4 sq mi) (370 ha or 910 acres). The name comes from the English garden form of informal landscape which has been a style popular in England in the 18th century.

Nowadays you can enjoy several restaurants, Biergarten, Sports areas, waterfalls, theatres etc - usually it is used by the Munich population to relax. To show you some good Tree photos here is one under creative commons from Wikipedia.

So interesting that an English Garden in Germany already and there is a structure that looks like a Chinese pagoda.

There is a huge beer garden around the Chinese Tower there - one of my favourite ones!

Hope they serve Chinese tea too. Or should it be English tea since it's an English garden?
