The personal data of approximately 4 million people using Facebook has been misidentified. This work has been done by a third party app 'My Personality'. This has already been revealed by Facebook itself.
In Facebook, in a blog post, Ema Archiebang, Vice President of Product Partnership in Facebook, wrote that the company has banned this app, which was active from 2012. It is clear that they have unearthed information and shared with the companies.
The company further said that they do not yet have proof of whether My MySpace has accessed the user's information or not. We are not providing any information about this user's Facebook friends about this. If such a thing is known then we will immediately notify them.
