Longer battery life: Apple says iPhone 16 Pro models have a "huge leap" in battery life over previous models, with the iPhone 16
Pro Max in particular offering the best battery life of any iPhone ever. For example, Apple says the iPhone 16 Pro Max can achieve up to 33 hours of video playback on a full charge, compared to 29 hours for the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Camera Control: All of the iPhone 16 models have a new button on the bottom-right side of the devices that allows you to quickly launch the camera, take a photo, start a video recording, and more.
Other camera upgrades: iPhone 16 Pro models are equipped with a 48-megapixel Ultra Wide camera, up from a 12-megapixel
Ultra Wide camera on the iPhone 15 Pro models. The devices can also record 4K video at up to 120 frames per second, up from 4K at 60 FPS on the iPhone 15 Pro models.
Apple Intelligence support: To use the Apple Intelligence features that will be rolling out starting with iOS 18.1, you will need an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or any iPhone 16 model. These features include writing tools, notification summaries, suggested replies in the Messages app, and more.
A18 Pro chip: As confirmed by a benchmark result, Apple says the A18 Pro chip in the iPhone 16 Pro models offers up to 15% faster CPU performance compared to the A17 Pro chip in the iPhone 15 Pro models.
Faster charging: All of the iPhone 16 models have faster charging over both USB-C (up to 45W) and MagSafe (up to 25W).
Faster 5G: iPhone 16 Pro models have around 25% faster 5G speeds on average compared to iPhone 15 Pro models, according to a test.
Improved microphones: Apple says the iPhone 16 Pro models are equipped with four improved "studio-quality" microphones that can "record more true-to-life audio," and video can now be captured in Spatial Audio.
