Hello my fellow Steemians,

Yesterday I got chance to visit very historical place in my country. It's Sigiriya. Yesterday climate was very good for walking and climbing. Our bus stopped vehicle park and we walked over 2.5 Km for climb up Sigiriya rock. Firstly I found oldest lake. But keep notices be safe from crocodiles.

Then after we take a tickets from counter and started to walking journey. I saw more foreign tourists came to here for watch Seegiriya kingdom.

No matter how much you search about Sigiriya, This is so complicated. No matter how much one spends his whole life figuring it out, he may die by seeing something new about Sigiriya. This is not what the celestial palace said. For anyone looking at Sigiriya in the morning, Sigiriya looked like a palace made of gold and shining. That's why it became the celestial palace.

Loo at the fountain garden...But this season no water there.

Many unsolved mysteries in Sigiriya.
You still see only a small part of the Sigiriya park and the palace outside Sigiriya. The inner palace and the underground palace are safe and secure. Imagine the world's eighth wonder, if you look at it from the outside, this is the best creation in the world.

Sigiriya water technology remains a mystery to the world today.
You'd be surprised if I say this. Do you believe Elijah can enter the Sigiriya stream and come out of the rock? There is an underground site that runs from one point in the stream to the Sigiriya rock. But we were not allowed to access them. The indigenous people of the area said that there are two gateways till there, two gateways under the Sigiriya rock and the last one at the top. Most of the goods were transported through these waterways to the top of the Sigiriya rock.

Then I captured Boulder Arch here. Another amazing stone creativity.

Slowly I came to entrance of Seegiriya rock. Absolutely amazing architecture there. Everywhere seemed biggest stones.

I reached middle of the rock and I saw destroyed paintings of Seegiri women. only few paintings protected yet and more once destroyed. But couldn't permission for capture them. There are 502 paintings in the 8th century, but today there are only 22 paintings. These paintings are mainly found along the western rock. Nipena Cave, Waturabakigala Cave, Deraniyagala Cave and Stone Garden Cave In the art of painting, a mixture of honey, humbus clay, and mustard is used. Local materials such as bark milk, spider clay and warrena are used to make the color. A notable feature of the Sigiriya art is that there are only female figures with the upper body. Body size, clothing, jewelry, flowers and floral arrangements are all part of the craft.

There were lot people came to watch this amazing rock. Archaeologists have initially identified Sigiriya as a fortress and later as a city. According to the archaeological research done so far, archaeologists have identified eight historical periods in Sigiriya.

It's lion's entrance. Declared a World Heritage Site in 1982, Sigiriya The 5th century city of Sri Lanka can be described as a blend of architecture, art, architecture, construction technology, landscape gardening and water management.

I came to the top of the rock finally. Everywhere seemed ruins places. But most of memorable. Sigiriya is of great importance in the study of Sri Lankan architecture. Although many archaeological ruins have been found from Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, they were developed over a long period of time by a number of rulers. Most of the ruins in Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa are religious ruins. Among the ruins found in Sigiriya are worldly ruins that do not need a fort, such as cold palaces, amusement parks, and pools. Ruins of a cold palace have also been found near the water park.

Then I used my camera for captures around the area. You can see below and how amazing and can you guess how much height I stayed?

At that time Sigiriya was shining with gold and shining beautifully above Dambulla town. One has to be very careful when exploring the inner palaces of Sigiriya. You have to be very careful as the tunnels are laid. Otherwise, there will be no return. Thank you for watching. See you again.
