OUR YEARLY OCCANEECHI TRIBAL POW WOW

in trevonjb •  7 years ago

I don't know how, but I forgot to post these photos from our pow wow last week. I am an Occaneechi Native American. This is a tribe of Native Americans from the Eastern Alamance County area in North Carolina.

I didn't get too many photos because I was busy eating and checking out some of the booths but hopefully these pictures give you a good idea of what went on that day.

I believe these are actual artifacts from the ground in the area.

Wow, thank you for sharing. I am interested in Native American crafts and Arts since childhood. I hope one day I can go to the States again and learn more about it. I was already impressed by the crafts, arts and culture of the Native American Museum in NYC. And they offered it for free, because they want to share their culture and history for everybody!

I didn't know there were other First Nations people on Steemit, I'm glad; done right I think it's a good way to get an economy going.
Cree/Ojibwe/stolo here.

Nice! Sto:lo from my Mom and Cree from my Dad. Love seeing other nations out there.
