The Trezor T vs Trezor vs Ledger Nano S bitcoin wallets review.

Who has won?
Without reviewing it yet, the Trezor family has won, and good enough the new Trezor T has done that clearly where the Trezor 1 vaguely or hardly beat the Ledger Nano S.

Having laid off to work, the Trezor family went in for a deep work and update. Here they are, coming back to fight and of course, conquer the bitcoin hardware wallet family.

Really?

Yes, that is it as it stands on 30 May 2018.

So, without further ado, let’s get it to it.

1 . Password Manager

What’s the use of a Password Manager?
It helps to restore shrouded accounts that may need help in proper management.
Does the Trezor family has the password manager option?
Yes, they do – both Trezor 1 and Trezor 2

Does the Ledger Nano S have?
No!

2. Wallet Memory Storage

This defines the memory limit of cryptocurrencies a wallet can manage without a third party application.
Which of the wallets has a ledger Memory Storage?
Both Trezor 1 and Trezor 2 do. Both of them can contain 6 cryptocurrencies on their own without a third party application.
Whereas, Ledger Nano S accommodates only 4.

3. Cryptocurrencies Managed

This defines the number of general cryptocurrencies managed.
Before that, let me point this out.

The Trezors do not manage RIPPLE. So, if you are a RIPPLE fan, I mean, if you need a core Ripple hardware, then the Trezors’ are not yet in the mode. Lol.

The Trezor 1 was defeated by the Ledger Nano S in terms of the overall cryptocurrencies managed.
While Trezor 1 managed less than 25.
The Ledger Nano did better with up to 100+.

I mean, Trezor T pose to manage 515, but that it not yet true until they update the vault.
As it stands, the Ledger wallet can manage up to 500+ more coins with more third party applications like MyEtherWallet, Electrum, Ledger chrome, Copay and lots more.

4. Wallet Screen function

Screen function defines which wallet has a wider and friendly screen size for easy access and operations.
While Trezor 1 and Ledger Nano S are almost the same here, the Trezor T has the widest screen size with a soft touch.

As a matter of fact, the Trezor T has a touch screen function to curate operations with total ease.

Winner: Trezor 2

#5. Wallet Compromise

Wallet Compromise defines which wallet had ever been compromised.
Fair enough, the Trezor 1 was successfully hacked some time ago. But they fixed that since last year anyway.
Nevertheless, it still holds a figurative expression, and worthy for comparison.
On the other hand, the Ledger Nano S and the Trezor T since January 2018 have not had such issues.

#6 Wallet Setup Time Out

This defines the time it will take to set up the various wallets.
The Trezor 1 did much better than Ledger Nano S. Setting up Ledger Nano is not as easy especially with the complications of the applications used.
On average,
– Ledger Nano – 30 mins or less if you are smarter; I mean, carefully following the instruction.
Note, it can be more if you don’t get the steps.
– Trezor – 18 mins or less with instruction. More if you don’t get it.
– Trezor T – 10 mins or less with a simple touchpad screen to redirect steps.
The fact is that the interfaces of the Trezor 1 & T will help you setup your wallets in fewer minutes.

The Ledger price on the official store of Ledger is €79 + the shipping fee.

The Trezor 1 price on the official store of Trezor is €89.

The Trezor T price on the official store of Trezor is €139.
