South American Natives

I'm not sure where I took this one, but it was probably Peru or Colombia given the kind of art that is depicted here. These are natives from South America, probably Quechuas, Mayans or Incas.

The colors are creative and curious and one thing I loved about this piece is the fact that they are taking care and nurturing a tree, and said tree is then intertwining through them and with them, expressing how we must take care of nature because we are in fact part of nature, the message is clear and it makes you think how these ancient civilizations thought about our earth and their philosophy of life.

The fact that the artist drew and painted them with all their traditional accesories and paraphernalia is beautiful because anyone seeing this and paying attention will notice the ears and the kind of earrings they have that make the earlobes bigger which was probably a symbol of status, the way the hair is done which inferes that these people are hunters that need their hair controlled, and their loincloth, which was the only kind of clothes some type of citizen used, which also makes me think these people were field workers or hunters for their tribe.
