Welcome ❤
Today I want to tell you about a trip I made to this State full of charm, the state of Merida, the land of the gentlemen.
UNET choir before performing at the National Choir Meeting in Venezuela
I remember that by November 2014, four years ago, we left on a university route (university transport) from our house of studies, the members of the choir of UNET (National Experimental University of Táchira) and its former Director Manuel Medina destined to San Buenaventura de Ejido or Ejido as its inhabitants commonly call it. This is a small city and is the capital of the Campo Elías municipality, located in the State of Mérida.
The Trip
We started from San Cristóbal, my place of residence at 4am in the morning. It's about 6 hours away from my city. As we moved in the university transport, by policies of the university, we only allowed to travel by day. The trip was fine, without any mishap. On the other hand, it was a student trip, by then the country situation was not as critical as it is currently, so we travel a little baggy with the budget, as you know the student trips are those in which the most important thing above any thing is to know, to walk and to enjoy, with a low budget, therefore, the food was limited, with the purpose of managing the money of the trip. To save on food, a list of food products necessary for the 3 days of residence in this city was made, and each member contributed the products available and could collaborate-

We arrived at the inn Doña Cleta, located on the Main Avenue of Pedregosa. A modest and nice place. Our stay was sponsored by the coordinators of the event, the only thing we paid was food. We stayed in rooms that had a kitchen, refrigerator and cooking utensils. The rooms were spacious, they had private bathroom, hot water service, WIFI, air conditioning and television.
On the other hand, I knew they had reasonable rates for that moment, so if they go short of budget in my opinion it is a good place to stay, it is hygienic, they provided a good service and attention. It is also near the center of Merida.
Places Visited
On the second day at night, we visited a night spot called Hoyo del Queque, where we paid a cover to enter, we shared a few drinks and enjoyed a while.
The last day of the stay, we had the opportunity to visit the pizzeria 4 Cheeses and the pizzas were really cheap and very good, I recommend them. We were looking for a place to eat, since we had already run out of food reserves. In that we toured the city, looking for a place, and we ran into some merideños who told us about the pizzeria and its address. But since we did not know the place, we lost it haha. After about 15 minutes we found the place and we were happy to eat. Happiness is seen in our faces.

Then we visited a square that was nearby and decided to rest a little dinner and enjoy the peace and temperature of this place
Plaza and coralistas happy to have dinner
Finally, that day after dinner, we came up with the idea of visiting another place, but as the Mérida Observatory was closed because it was in maintenance. We decided to go to Pico el Águila which was one of the peaks that were closest to Mérida and since it was too late we could not get away so much. In the following photos the trip in the route and the group photo in the peak are shown, they are not the best photos, but they keep the best memories.

The Return Home
On the fourth day early in the morning, we leave with a return to our homeland. Everything was going very well, but when we were 3 hours away, we were standing in a line for 2 hours, because the people of the sector were protesting the lack of water service in their residences. After the inhabitants gave way on the road we continued happily to our homes.

Finally, I leave a video with the collection of photos and videos of the funniest and funniest moments we live on this trip. It was made by my dear friend and choir photographer, Daniel Ramírez.
