In the previous episode I shared the story of my trip to the Kuala Lumpur art building and to the State Monument of Malaysia. After the National Monument, my group of friends and I continued the trip to the National Palace.
In Malaysia, there are 13 states and 3 Malaysian State alliances. Each state has a state leader. Some have the title Sultan, some have the title Raja, and some also have the title Yang di-Pertuan Besar and Yang Dipertua Negeri (governor). Every five years, nine Malaysian state sultans will meet to elect a new King. Usually given in turns depending on seniority, the influence and length of time they are in the territory of each state. The chosen king will carry the title Yang di-Pertuan Agong, who is the head of state of Malaysia. Once the explanation that I got from our tour guide.
After being sworn in as King, the King Yang di-Pertuan Agong will occupy the Malaysian National Palace. This palace is located on Jalan Tuanku Abduk Halim, Bukit Damansara Kuala Lumpur 50490 Malaysia. This National Palace is not open to the public. if you want to visit this National Palace, then you can only see from a distance outside the Palace fence.
When I arrived at the Malaysian National Palace, the weather was very bright. In front of the Palace gate, there is a large courtyard and a large parking lot. The sunny weather made us not feel at home for long here. But before leaving this place, I took some images from outside the Palace.
From the image I took, it looked like a palace from a distance with several golden domes. In front of the Palace there is a Malaysian State flag flanked by state flags. In front of the palace grounds there are writings in Arabic letters namely "Daulat Tuanku". According to information from our tour guide, the National Palace was inaugurated in 2011 to replace the old National Palace located in a different complex in Kuala Lumpur. Now the old National Palace has changed into a museum.
To visit this National Palace I recommend to come under 10:00 am or afternoon, when the weather is not hot.
