Nikosia is the capital of Republica Cyprus. There are not so many tourists who live in the city, because Nikosia is a little bit far from the sea and there are not so many resorts. Mainly resorts are near coasts.
But every tourists who comes on Cyprus of course wants to see this beautiful city.
The center is full of smalls and extrimaly cosy cafeterias, shops, diffrent workshops with handmade things, food.. Handmade things we can find in touristic places of over the world but here really so many cultures, civilisations mix.. Egypt - pyramids, Portugal - cock, Russia - matryoshka...Cyprus - I don’t know what - everything at once : and ancient statues , donkey, Greece vases , Zeus , Afrodita , Ap.Luka’s icons , lace , typical silver style ? Everything at once )))
It is pity that city is shared on two parts, the other part is under occupation of Turkey.
People here still bileve that one day the conflict will be solve.. But time passes and nothing.. The part of city which is under Turkey live worse, that is why many people from Turkish Cyprus come to other part . But life is life . Politicians never think about normal people who are just hostages of their ambitions.
At any case i wish people here all the best and I wish them never ever any more to recognise what is the war ..
