The final day in Izu.
First we ate a typical Minshuku (B&B) Japanese breakfast.
After this we took a drive up to Ose shrine, before our boat arrived in the afternoon.
There's some of the lovely scenery on the way, as you can see, the Izu peninsular keeps on being beautiful!
Theres a little lagoon with a view of Mt. Fuji.
Cape Ose is the number one place to go for scuba diving it seems, there're hundreds of scuba divers and facilities for them and the shrine and the actual peninsular itself was quite nice, very close to Numazu and Fuji here.
On the way back to the ferry, we stopped at Heda, there's a very nice community center there, with a small restaurant and a hot spring, only 500 yen, and a museum, that day there was a little festival, so there were food stalls outside too. We got a taco rice which was nice, and sat and ate it looking at Mt. Fuji for one last time.
Then we took the ferry home.
All in all, despite the weather, it was a very nice trip. Lots to see and do, not very crowded, even in Golden Week and cheaper and friendlier than the east side of Izu. The scenery is stunning pretty much all along the coast. I highly recommend west Izu if you like what you see in this travel blog.
