Elections have started on the Tron (TRX) and have already produced 2 super representatives which will represent the entire members of the network. As the election progresses, two representatives, Skypeople and Cryptodiva have taken in hundreds of blocks.
In April, Tron’s founder Justin Sun, in a letter to the Tron community announce that voting on the platform will begin on 26th June. The voting has since started albeit at a slow pace and Sun was quick to announce its first super representative.

Following the Tron’s MainNet launch and token swap, most TRX tokens are locked on exchanges, or unclaimed, and this has negatively affected the voting process and transaction volumes. The volume of transaction was as low as 48 transactions in an hour according to information from tronscan.org.
So far, Tron’s MainNet has been stable and have not experienced the kind of freezes that plagued the EOS MainNet after launch. Tron’s voting is simpler compared to that EOS platform.
There’s a lot of activity around the Tron project in recent times following the mainnet launch. One of the biggest adult sites Pornhub announced that it would accept Tron [TRX] tokens alongside Verge [XVG]. News of adoptions like this works directly in line with Tron’s long-term vision to be the currency for online entertainment.
Tron [TRX] currently trades at $0.038 to the dollar as excitement over the mainnet launch continues to wane. The price has lost about 7.02% in the last 24 hours and transaction volumes are just over $100 million. Binance, Upbit, Bithumb, and OKEx account for most of the trade volumes.
Tron currently has 201 nodes, 120 of which are located in the USA and 59 in China. It is traded by many major exchanges and has a very active community. Founder, Justin Sun is a prominent figure in and out cryptocurrency circles.
