If you haven't been on here for a while, and you are having Issues Logging in to Steemit, after a Long Absence - then this is for you!
I haven't been in for a year, but I need to add some steem to my blog posts on www.coffeeaxistravel.com, by posting them on here automatically. Definitely something to look at if you are writing on Steemit, but you also have a traditional (dot)com domain as well.
Anyways, back to my original issue. When you use your @username and then your long long password. I followed the original recommendations to store my steemit key on Last Pass. This is why I am here writing you today.
When they gave me the error message saying that I essentially was using a key which is too high security for logging in. Then they have you download a PDF file. THAT PDF file, is your ticket to getting back into steemit after a long absence.
You fill in your "Private Posting Key" to the password field, granting you access to your account.
Layers of security like these are what make the difference in ensuring your account is protected. But, listen to their initial account setup advice on storing your passwords, and it will help prevent future Issues Logging In to Steemit after a Long Absence.
