Constantly getting rid of everyone that disagrees with you and filling all the holes with yes men doesn't make a democracy, it makes it a Patriarchy and autocracy. It kills democracy. Xi Jinping just made himself president for life in China and Putin has had a stranglehold on Russia for the past 20 years, and that doesn't speak well for the welfare for the common people in their countries.
I'd have the same problem if a Democrat or anyone else was running the same gambit.
The point of having advisors is to have people who look at things differently so they can help you see alternatives that you otherwise wouldn't come up with through your own line of thought, and despite how much both sides hate each other, we need to have the kind of diversity that is shown through our two party system to keep everything in check. Our system is specifically designed so that one person or body can't have all of the power so that we can avoid becoming the very dictatorships that we as a country have fought against for hundreds of years.
