Is Trump About To Make John McCain His 2020 Healthcare Bogeyman?

Trump has announced, "The Republican Party will soon be known as the party of health care. You watch.”

Democrats are reported to be ecstatic with the idea that Trump will bring the focus of 2020 around to this, what they see as a key winning issue. Leading House Democrats, backed by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are unveiling broad legislation to shore up the Affordable Care Act. They believe defense of Obamacare, and in specific, preexisting conditions, is a battlefield worth fighting on. It is certainly cited as a major reason Republicans lost the House in 2018. The lines have been quickly drawn on this one, Dems seeking to change the conversation away from the Mueller Report and perhaps take advantage of a Trump stumble and face plant in bringing Health Care up at all.

So consider this: We all know when it comes to the late John McCain, there seems no depths President Trump is willing to plumb. But, I believe, even Trump’s harshest critics can’t picture what Trump seems to be cooking up now. Members of his own party are encouraging him to drop the healthcare issue. That’s a warning sign. When Trump feels his political instincts are being questioned, he’s at his most dangerous, his most vindictive. He will lash out.

Trump has another campaign rally scheduled for tonight, in Grand Rapids, MI. I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes something like this:

Trump: John McCain was the murderer of my plans to bring you the healthcare you deserve. Healthcare for everybody. No cuts. The most affordable, best, healthcare ever devised by man, better than the wheel! (Short Pause) So good, so good you won’t even believe it! He murdered it! John McCain murdered your healthcare!”

(Applause, Applause. Crowd goes wild. Trump turns left, turns right, big smile, bask, bask, bask in the glory!)

Trump: Never cared for the man.

(More applause)

Trump: Murderer. Midnight, thumbs down. He murdered it.

(Trump mimics a thumbs down, steps back, does his best impersonation of Anthony Perkins pulling back the shower curtain and stabbing, stabbing, stabbing in Psycho. "Eeeeeeek EeeeeeeeK EeeeeeeeeeeeeK" And the crowd goes wild for a solid minute as Trump drinks it in.)

We have all seen how Trump has referred to John McCain, an American icon of bravery and valor, with almost unbearable distain in the past. John McCain - now to be made into a boogeyman by Trump, as he wields yet again, his terrible sleazy sword.

Should the Republican Party, or more significantly, the American people, stand for such outrageous debasement? I think not.

Ooops. I had posted this earlier on another site. Just got a call from the Trump team asking me if they can use this. I turned them down, but that probably doesn’t mean anything to them. I think it’s going to happen tonight.
