William Southold | Opinion Columnist, The Southold Report

First of all, you may have noticed, the people of CNS have given me a new title - Opinion Columnist. This, they tell me, is to make clear when I post an opinion piece it is seen as just that, and not my normal Fake News reportage. I can see that. Lately I have been given to using Fake Tweets from our Fake Tweet Desk as a way to get my point across. I like them, these Fake Tweets. They often carry exactly what I am trying to say, and bring me in under, or at least not too far over the 500 word count, which seems to be part of the new CNS Editorial Guidelines. I tend to be more wordy, as you can see (and my wife never tires from pointing out).

So here is the latest from our Fake Tweet Desk. Again, these are TOTALLY FAKE, MADE UP TWEETS. Some of our readers, perhaps skimming too quickly, have not interpreted them as so.

So, to repeat and call attention to our CNS Fake Tweet Desk motto: Because really, you don’t think you could see this? Can’t you picture Trump tweeting these tweets? Even the last hashtag and how he comments on it? I can. These tweets express my fears about the man, completely. A dangerous fool and his tweets. Trump, not me, I mean to say.
