"buying one's head in sand" is not an accurate description here as the goal is not to remain inconspicuous, but quite the contrarty. Twisting interpretation of Scientific Studies to gain political favors is such a low ball, but nearly all countries have a right wing exploiting it to appeal to their target demographic.

I can spend rest of the time providing evidances and citations, but enough is said already. I might as well quote someone who makes a living exploring the furry brain in question with a brush of logic.

But then, none of such sources of much greater influence work sufficiently to convince "the believers". Why would that be? Since when ignorance has become a belief, almost as strong as a cult?

After a bit of consideration, I would like to take back the word "Ignorance" and remove it from the discussion altogether. People are aware of it, including @realdonaldtrump. How else would you explain this:

So, to me, it seems the idea is to not to use denial of global warming as a core belief, but a tool to appeal a certain class of persons who prefer to see science in general against their religious beliefs. Just a well calculated stunt to stir up the mainstream media, just to divide and conquer.

Or if you prefer to live in a world where you're as clueless as a few 4th Graders of South Park, ManBearPig is not real! Or if it's real, you don't know if it is the time to get super cereal! (cereal = serious, using Al gore lingo here! )
