The Silliest Scare I had today

While I was working at my cash register today, I almost had a mini heart attack. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw The Hill go live with a headline containing the phrase giant mysterious and Trump. My mind ran wild because I had a line of customers to check out before I could even remotely consider reading the rest of the headline.

With this uncertainty, my mind ran wild with the possibilities: airplane? asteroid?? Nuclear Weapon??? I braced myself to be prepared for the wildest possibilities. Quietly maintaining my posture, I simply started going over the wrongs and rights done so far that day. Trying to ensure that my moral balance that morning, that week, and that month had been in just order, I began concerning myself with my universal soul.

After being released to break, I checked the full headline: WATCH LIVE: A mysterious giant inflatable "Trump chicken" has been erected near the White House. I know this is a silly thing to worry over. This does, however, highlight the concerns I have for our presidency. Rather than complying with Generals with lifelong military experience, our Commander-in-Chief recklessly creates heated rhetoric rather than solutions.

I'm curious if this is how families during the Cuban Missle crisis felt; the constant fear that our leaders may end the globe with mad decisions. Deterrence theory applies mostly when the leaders are of rational mind; our leader is not rational. Our leader is not sober, he rages with little thought of the ramifications. Our leader cannot comprehend the responsibility his power entails.
