As a tiny little peon on the very bottom of the power structure, it seems one can't know too much.
In the past especially, finding out what was going on "at the top" in a timely manner was damn near impossible except through word of mouth and conversations with individuals "in the know."
Now, we have the internet. Look at what Wikileaks did to Hillary Clinton's pathetic excuse for a campaign for President of the United States of America.
Look what the DNC did to itself by throwing the guy most democrats liked--Sanders--under the bus via corruption and vote rigging, and urging people to vote for one of the most cold-blooded and unlikeable career politicians of all time. Much of this information would have remained out of the sight of the public eye had it not been for leaked information readily available on the internet.
The Democratic National Committee made it possible for reality TV star and business mega tycoon Donald Trump to win the presidency. But was it really an "upset?" Does anything at this level of politics really happen solely "by accident?"
FDR once stated:
And John F. Kennedy once warned:
The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings...Our way of life is under attack. Those who make themselves our enemy are advancing around the globe...no war ever posed a greater threat to our security. If you are awaiting a finding of "clear and present danger," then I can only say that the danger has never been more clear and its presence has never been more imminent...For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence–on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.
Here's my theory. Accidents do happen, but are always played and managed into the hands of those in power.
If you were truly smart, and truly at the top of the power pyramid, would you pin yourself down to just one plan of attack, which could break your whole overarching plan should something go wrong? Would you not have multiple contingency plans? Would you not be so confident in your money, power, wealth, and political and military clout so as not to worry no matter what the outcome of any particular situation? Of course you would.
You could mould any situation to your liking.
So what are my thoughts? I think the Trump victory was an upset, but not altogether an "accident" as such. Globalists don't really think in terms of "accidents" as long as a situation can be manipulated. At least, that's what history seems to have shown so far. The only real accident to a power monger would be to lose power.
The Trump upset has already restored people's faith in "the system" (read: given the state more power) for many, and he has already begun to go back on his bold campaign promises, just like every bonehead before him. A few days ago he was threatening to lock Hillary up. Now he's saying she's really great and thanking her for her "years of service." Meet the new boss...
To be clear, I am not saying Clinton and Trump are EXACTLY THE SAME. I am simply saying that the overarching goal of the global elite is.
Namely, subjugation and the denial of the self-ownership of the individual.
I hope this video will clarify what I mean. Thanks for watching.
I will leave you with some quotes regarding the "global elite."
“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.”
-Gutle Schnaper, Mayer Amschel Rothschild’s wife.
“History records that the money changers have used every form of abuse, intrigue, deceit, and violent means possible to maintain their control over governments by controlling money and its issuance.”
– James Madison
"When a government is dependent upon bankers for money, they and not the leaders of the government control the situation, since the hand that gives is above the hand that takes… Money has no motherland; financiers are without patriotism and without decency; their sole object is gain.”
– Napoleon Bonaparte, Emperor of France, 1815
“It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and money system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.”
– Henry Ford, founder of the Ford Motor Company.
“From now on, depressions will be scientifically created.”
– Congressman Charles A. Lindbergh, on the creation of the Federal System. 1913
“The Federal Reserve banks are one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever seen. There is not a man within the sound of my voice who does not know that this nation is run by the International bankers.”
— Congressman Louis T. McFadden (Rep. Pa)
“All problems, depressions, wars, disasters, assassinations ‒ all of them were planned, caused, instigated, and implemented by the international bankers and their attempt to establish a central bank in every country in the world, which they have now done, thanks to corrupt politicians who have been bought and paid for. This is all you need to know about the history of the world.”
‒ Mary Elizabeth Croft

Thanks for the kind words, Graham. I agree with many of your observations, particularly that it was an upset, but I want to focus a bit on where I disagree.
I'm not personally convinced that "people in power" is a homogeneous in-group acting in concert. Individuals tend to have their own agendas. I think there are real power struggles at all levels. I agree that this wasn't an accident, but I disagree with the premise in which the question of whether or not it was an accident is framed. I think the premise here presupposes the omnipotence of some secret cabal. You're entitled to your own analysis, but I think this view would imply a sort of determinism to which resistance would appear futile. My concern is that this would be a self-fulfilling prophecy. Adaptation to unforeseen circumstances is something no one has a monopoly on.
To further touch on WikiLeaks and the CFR, there were CFR members who had emailed Podesta EXTREMELY CONCERNED over Trump. Perhaps this is all elaborate theater (a possibility which should never be ruled out), but I remain unconvinced that this is the Machiavellian strategy of a single concerted group of individuals. It's not uncommon for people who were once friends to find themselves at odds.
Regarding the reneging on Obamacare: It looks like this rumor originated with some of the same media outlets which were discredited by Wikileaks. He may very well renege, but he hasn't yet. His statements were something to the effect of, "Obamacare will be repealed, replaced or amended. As a show of respect, I told President Obama that I'd take a look at his suggestions, and that's what I'll do."
Regarding his comments about Hillary Clinton during his first speech after getting elected: you mentioned JFK. He might just be worried about getting his head blown off. Or he might be hiding his hand from her and letting her get comfortable. He might totally renege, but we should make sure we have evidence before buying into the claims of the news outlets who nearly just lied Clinton into power (again).
Regarding change: a government debt default is extremely likely in the next four years. Things would have changed no matter who got elected. Having seen what happened to Greece, I know for a fact that having overt leftists in control for fake austerity measures is a bad idea.
Good article though, man. I look forward to seeing how this all unwinds.
