If you hate Trump so much, why didn't you go out and vote for Hillary?
Srsly though, it gets worse. Here in Australia people are proud of their flaws.
The subtext of most gun control discussions is;
You're a gun fetishist who lets children die; you should be scared of guns like all of us good people.
As if fear of an inanimate object is somehow right and noble.
Even just a generation ago a phobia was something you'd recognize as a shortcoming.
You'd work to resolve it and make yourself more useful to society.
Now it's a badge of discernment and honour and somehow a valid substitute for any sort of logical argument.
Enjoy being surrounded by people arrogant over nothing while you still can.

I have heard voting advocates insist that, "It doesn't matter what your opinion is, as long as you have one, and go to the polls, because that is what makes democracy work!" And yet those same people get mad at me when I point out how they make my argument against democracy for me in saying what they say.

Thank you Larken,

I was born 1959 and raised by psychopaths to endure the duality of prison at "home" and "school". Therefore I have never indulged in trust of "grown-ups" and that best practice of focused misanthropy continues in the present moment. It follows that I can't pretend to empathize with folks who were indoctrinated in a normal (popular) home environment and may believe society has devolved more narcissistic. In my perception 99.99% of the human race is pure scum by choice and likely always has been. Furthermore I expect mankind will accept extinction before enlightenment, and perhaps the "enhanced cultural narcissism" perception you've accepted is simply an internalized recognition by cult members that they have nothing left to lose.

As music is the nearest thing I have to a religion I'll share two videos that address the opportunity for individuals to choose to "be great" or enjoy their confusion as they write their "Epitaph" on the wall.
