The most persuasive case I've heard for Trump has been listening to Kamala Harris try to make the case for herself.

Obviously, I eventually remember that Trump is still Trump, but in the moments that she speaks, I can't help but think "maybe..."

Like... When I hear Trump speak, I might think "he's stupid and a liar", but then "he's also kinda funny and endearing".

When she speaks, I wanna throw things at the TV and pull out my hair while screaming "history has shown time and again that don't fucking work".

Oh, I don't think he's got great policies either. In fact, save a couple of issues, I don't think he even cares that much about policy.

But he did some good things in office, in large part by letting others take the reign on shit he didn't care about. And he avoided doing some things Hillary would have done that would have been awful.

Like... the net result was alright. But policy on the stuff I most care about doesn't drive him, and the stuff that motivates him I'm mostly on the other side of.

The best things he did, I don't think he pushed for. The things he avoided doing may have been influenced by his gut, and that's cool. I don't think he's got a deep philosophical base or whatever, though... And factors outside of him were more responsible for most of the good and most of the bad of his administration.

He's malleable, and I never know who he talked to last to push him in one direction or another.
