Felony falsifying business record charges are commonplace.

I always like when people make this argument as if some rando would be paying a porn star to keep their sex secret ahead of a presidential election via a lawyer paid through their business.

But it is also just factually incorrect as well. For New York in particular and especially Bragg's office, felony falsifying business record charges are commonplace. And such charges in context with elections are also not unusual, with several individuals being convicted in this regard.

I think a sounder argument is there might have been political motivation to prosecute Trump.

But this idea that such prosecutions wouldn't happen if it was someone else doesn't hold water in the state.
