Society is built on the meaning of words, and if their meaning is not True we cannot have a functioning form of communication and without communication, society wouldn't exist. Without truth, there is no reasoning or rationale as one cannot use logic without Truth and so truth gives meaning not only to logic and reason and to the words we communicate with, but to our society as well because what is a personal relationship if it's not built on truth? We can have no real trust without truth, and so the truth is at the epicenter of human life and society.

Truth is important as it seeks to establish a standard. Take the tool aptly referred to as True Square, or simply the weights and measures we use. Without standards, we couldn't form the cohesion required to trade or to navigate, it all hinges on truth.

Based on our discoveries we attempt to use Truth to describe reality which is what Truth is concerned with. It begins with the true meaning of words and builds into correct reasoning and logic which give way to correct understanding and which evolves into correct actions and taken to their conclusion ought to lead to a society that better responds and acts in accord with Reality. Since truth is our attempt at describing reality and making sense of the world it goes to reason that truth will prevail over lies and because a correct understanding of the world is required to better predict and model the world, such truth is invaluable.
