DARKNESS INTO LIGHT

“What is this Truth I hear so much about?”
Says a blind man from afar.
“What is this light and this day?”
“How long is the month of May?”

“Am I blind to this world?”
“Or, is this world blind to me?”
“What is its key?”
“What is the key to this life?”
“And, what is life to this key?”

“I cannot open my eyes,
So I will open my heart instead,”
“What is blindness to the dead?”

“Go ahead,
Close your eyes to all that you see,
To all that you know,
Now you know,
Life is not what the eyes can merely see,
Life is the expression of your heart,”
“All that you hear,
All that you touch
All that you say,
All that had been said,
Is lost to the dead.”

“So, I am blind, you might say,
But nothing is as it seems,
When you cannot see.”

“Now, close your eyes and feel what it is,
To love and be loved,
Oh, what it is
To truly see all things
Just as they are,
Not as they appear to be.”

“Don't you understand?”
“Life is not what is,
But, what could be.”
“So, now you see - I may be blind,
But, you don't need eyes
To see this truth in life,
Just an opened heart,
An open mind.”
“Forget what had been taught to you
And sincerely feel the honest truth
Surrounding us all,
Learn to walk in this light of day,
When your eyes show darkness all around you.”
“Find your own way back
To the bright and shining path in life,
So, that when in deaths arms
Your life will be carried on.”

“A life that was worth the
Suffering and the strife,
A life blessed with truth and light.

Now, close your eyes to see what really exists
Beyond your final gasping breath.”
“As you lay on your pillow this night.
Feel that final ray of light,
As it warms your skin from within,
Or, a drop of water that cleanses your face,
So dry and wrinkled;
Markings earnt from a lifetime of pursuits.”
“Now, feel your body slowly relax,
As your chi slowly fades away,
Sense your spirit -
Your essence and function in life.”

“Learn to see with your wisdom eye,
Observe how you can turn blindness into light.”
“See what it means to be alive.”

“A life after death.”
