Did you know there is an unending battle between good and evil in your mind? This has been going on for as long as you became aware of your surroundings. The day this battle ends is the day, we will draw our last breath. This makes it possible for any human being to be capable of anything good or bad. During this battle, there is no permanent winner. One side may dominate for moment and be overtaken in the next moment by the other. It totally depends on what we feed our brains at all times.
If we are constantly involving ourselves in the positives of every situation we encounter then we give rise to hope, faith and optimism (the good side).
Concurrently, as we expose ourselves to the negatives of the situation, we allow doubt, laziness and pessimism (the evil side) to take control of the battle. Generally, the truth is very hard to accept so we sometimes opt to reject to avoid hurting our feelings which leads to a series of lies told upon the first lie. This makes a person harbor disgust for the liar when the truth eventually comes out (which by the way, always does).
As human beings, we are 100% in control of what we say and do. These are the two major activities that determines whether the good or bad side of us stays in control for a long time. As we live everyday to the fullest, we are surrounded by influencers such as friends. If you have friends that are corrupt, you’ll most likely be corrupt as well. I hope this piece brings to attention the dangers of choosing not to oversee the battle personally. I for one would love to a have positive-minded individuals around all the time. People who desire and work towards something worthy. This way, my good side stays in control for a very long time.

Are we? I'm certain most of the time I talk meaningless bullshit, because if I were to engage people in meaningful conversations their minds would experience critical meltdown. Also, I don't have much control when I get hungry - almost none at all.

If you want good to win in your heart, you need to pray to God to give you his holy spirit, and pray a lot. This spirit will revive your silent consciousness and prevent you from doing something you might regret later. I got drunk with a girl I knew I shouldn't be with, but I decided why not, she's hot? Just before we got down to doing the deed, my heart felt like fracturing and my mind burned as if stabbed by a hot poker. I decided to back off and the feeling went away. I wasn't a believer then, but I know now that it was God stopping me from doing evil.
