I'm going to post this in two parts. Here comes part one.....Enjoy!
Truth Time!!!
Come gather 'round! I want to talk about women's suffrage. No, I'm not talking about men, I said suffrage, not suffering.
Women had no rights until 1839 when the custody of infants Act passed. That gave women the right to petition the court for custody of children 7 and younger and for rights to visit their older children. Until then, custody of children was always given to the father. Always! Think about that one.
One sunny day in Seneca Falls New York a couple of chicks got their panties in a bunch and decided they needed my rights. That's begin the women's suffrage movement. This, ladies and gentlemen, led to a woman's right to vote. I'm sure Society has many opinions about this very subject and because I seem to be a menace to your Society anyway, how about I just go ahead and tell the truth about it?
Women got the right to vote and this country went to hell.
They're. I said it. If you are woman, you just cussed my mama for birthing me. If you are a man, you just agreed and fell in love. Hold on. It gets better!
A Woman's Place is in the kitchen! Now hold on fellas, don't get cocky. When I say "kitchen" I mean home. There was a time, believe it or not, when men filled the factories and fields and women took care of their babies! They cooked every meal. They washed every stitch of clothing in the house. They homeschool their children or spend time after school for homework. They put the kids to bed. They put their husbands to bed. After that was finished they went to sleep. The next morning she did it all again.
Sounds exhausting! The payoff though was a woman served breakfast, lunch and dinner at The Family Table. Everyone ate together. She laid eyes on her family and talked to them! Imagine that! She knew exactly what her children were wearing, no matter where they May Roam. She was further able to accomplish this feat because 50 t shirts and 12 pairs of shoes was the as absurd then as it is now. Education was important and a woman knew what her kids were learning. She took her kids into bed and after a busy day of dividing her attention, each child got a precious moment alone with Mama.
Okay men close your eyes and don't read the next part!
Ladies, let's talk this through, shall we? Would it kill you to get up and make your husband breakfast before he goes to work? Maybe pack his lunch? Some pretty awesome stuff happens in the wee hours of the morning before the kids wake up! Make his coffee and his bacon and sending out the door with a kiss. Sweep the floor and tidy the house. Serving my hot dinner when he gets home and when he sits down serve him first. Before the kids. (This is an entire discussion I don't care to have at this point, but promise to delve deeper in to at a later time.) I know you were cussing me now but stick with me here. What you're going to find is a grateful man. He's going to see the things you're doing for him and he'll respond in kind. Besides, ladies, when you do things like that, it makes me wonder what the hell you're up to and he lives in fear! Either way it goes, you have a well-behaved husband and life is just so much easier!
